Hardshell National Motor/General Rules apply

Class Designations:
Pro/T – Pro Turbo VW
Pro – Pro Stock VW
S/ST – Super Street VW

Body: 1949 or later Beetle. "New" Beetle, Karman Ghia, Type 3 (Squareback, Fastback, not Chback or type 3 Ghia), or type 4 (411, 412): No buses, or topless roadsters allowed. Convertibles are permitted but must run with full top and top must be painted to match color scheme of main body. Body may be chopped, channeled, sectioned. All bodies must have front and rear windows with clear or lightly tinted "glass." Stock wheelbase for body used cannot be altered. No top of fender cutouts for tire clearance allowed. Rear deck "air box" motor covers permitted. "Air Cooling Vents" may be cut into rear of box but must be rounded end vertical style matching those on full size P/S VW’s. Stock deck lid may be removed from body if covered by air box. No round holes or vent cuts allowed on bodies using stock deck lids. Hardshells (styrene or resin) or lexan bodies allowed. No "funny car" style bodies permitted.

Rear Wing: Permitted; no limitations on length but must not be wider than the widest point of body used. Side dams (spill plates) allowed. No part of which may extend forward, beyond rear edge of side quarter windows. Wing must be attached at its front edge to the body and mounting point must be at the lowest edge of rear window or lower, or on rear deck lid. No roof mounted spoilers or "top fuel style" wings permitted.

Chassis: Unlimited. Wheelbase must remain stock length for body used. Ball Bearings allowed in Pro Turbo only. Axle Bushings (oilites) only in Pro Stock and Super Street. No Ball Bearings allowed in these classes.

Belly Pans: Partial or full length are permitted in all classes. Plastic or lexan only. No part of pans may extend beyond the lower edges of body used.

Wheelie Bars: Allowed; Not to exceed 5" from centerline of rear axle to centerline of wheelie bars.

Front Tires: 3/4" Minimum diameter.

Weight: Pro Turbo – 90 Grams Minimum Weight, Pro Stock and S/ST – 120 Grams Minimum Weight

Motor:

S/ST – Super 16-D Motor - Replacement Arms allowed. No Ball Bearings.

Pro – Group 12 - .513 Diameter +/- .003 Armature. No Ball Bearings allowed.

Pro Turbo – Group 20 – C-Can .513 +/- .003 Armature. Ceramic Magnets.
