MOUNTAIN MOTOR PRO STOCK CAR - Club .400 Rules BODY: Must be of plastic or resin. (no styrene) Body may be lowered, but must maintain two thirds of the front bumper. Must retain stock door lines. Body may not be chopped or have the wheel wells altered. No two seat coupes, i.e. corvettes, vipers, prowlers, etc. No convertibles. (T-Tops OK) Must resemble full scale N.H.R.A. Pro Stock vehicles. Must have complete front and rear bumpers as delivered by the factory. NO modifications allowed. Rear bumper may be opened for wheelie bar clearance only. Head lights, parking and tail lights must be retained in stock original factory location. HOOD SCOOP: Must be Pro Stock style scoop. All cars must have a scoop. REAR SPOILER: Pro Stock Style Spoiler with spill plates only. Plastic or styrene only. Must be chrome or painted to match paint scheme of car. Maximum length 7/8" measured from mounting point of body to end of spoiler. Cannot be molded into body. Minimum length 1/4". Must attach to the tail end of rear deck. Spill plates cannot measure more than 5/16" tall. CHASSIS: Unlimited. Ball Bearings allowed. All motors must be mounted in-line only. FRONT WHEELS: 3/4" minimum diameter, measured from the outside diameter of the tire. Angling of front wheels to allow lowering of front end prohibited. Flat spotting of tires to allow for clearance is prohibited. REAR WHEELS/TIRES: Wheel hub diameter 5/8", tire diameter minimum 1-1/16" Minimum tire thread width fully contacting track surface. (0.500") WHEELIE BARS: Permitted, total length cannot exceed 5" from center line of rear axle to center line of wheelie bar wheels. WEIGHT: 120 grams minimum weight. MOTOR: Factory tagged Group-20, Ball Bearing (Full C-Can .513 Diameter Arm plus or minus .003) Gluing and shimming of magnets allowed. Shunt wires allowed. Any C-Can currently available through a major distributor. "Big Cans" prohibited. Magnets must be ceramic type currently available through a major distributor. May not contain rare earth materials. MOUNTAIN MOTOR PRO STOCK TRUCK - Club .400 Rules BODY: Must be of plastic, resin or styrene. No modifications to styrene bodies. Reserved for 1996 or later pickups of extended cab, midsize (Dakota, S-10, GMC S-15. Ranger, etc.) class. Body (cab) may be angle cut but must retain at least 3/10th. Of the front bumper. Cab must also retain door lines. Bed must retain stock dimension. Colored tonneau cover mandatory over the bed. Must have rear bumper or roll pan. May be opened for wheelie bar clearance only. Head lights, parking lights and tail lights must be retained in stock original factory location. Must resemble full scale N.H.R.A. Pro Stock Truck. HOOD SCOOP: Cowl induction type hood only. Al trucks must have cowl induction hood scoop measuring at least 1/4" in height. REAR SPOILER: Pro Stock style spoiler with spill plates only. Plastic or styrene only. Must be chrome or painted to match paint scheme of truck. Maximum length 7/8" measured from mounting point of bed to end of spoiler. Minimum length 1/4" must attach to the tail end of bed. PRO STOCK CAR - Club .400 Rules Designation: HB/PS (Hard Body Pro Stock) BODY: Any year (1/24–1/25 scale) plastic or resin model car body (sedan or hardtop) Funny car bodies are not allowed. Body may be lowered but must maintain two-thirds of the front bumper. Body may not be chopped or have the wheel wells altered. Body must have a pro style hood scoop. Must have rear bumper as delivered by factory on original full scale cars. Rear bumper may be notched for wheelie bar clearance. 1/16" minimum clearance under body, gears and chassis. Front diaplanes are not allowed. All cars must have a driver. Car must resemble those that have run in N.H.R.A. Pro Stock. REAR WING: Must have rear wing. Must be mounted on the highest and most rear-ward molded plastic deck lid. Maximum 7/8" over hang. Wing can be bent in any direction upon mounting. CHASSIS: Wheel base must conform to wheel well openings. Must have wheelie bars not to exceed 5" from the centerline of the rear axle to the centerline of the wheelie bars. Axle Bearings allowed. FRONT TIRES: ¾" minimum diameter REAR TIRES: True scale type. Hub must have a minimum diameter of 5/8" Tire minimum height 1.0625" Minimum width .500" (1/2") WEIGHT: 120 Grams minimum. MOTOR: Super 16-C (no ball bearings) ARM: 16-C type with minimum diameter of .510" and a maximum of .523" CAN: Must be C type ENDBELL: Must be manufactured by the same manufacturer of the can MAGNETS: None made of cobalt type material. Quad magnets allowed. PRO STOCK TRUCK - BPIR House Rules GENERAL: It is the intent of these Rules to provide a Category of reasonably inexpensive, entry to mid-level Slot Car Drag Racing Class. This Class is specifically created to be "low-to-medium" tech, and to emphasize entertainment value and driving ability over chassis and motor building skills. As a result, they are restrictive in nature. No permitted component or authorized modification shall additionally perform a prohibited function. During an Event, the final decision regarding the legality of a component or modification in this Class and/or the final interpretation of these Rules shall rest with the Technical/Race Director and/or his/her designated representative(s). DESIGNATION: P/ST- Proceeded by car number. BODIES : All bodies used in PRO STOCK TRUCK shall be 1/24th or 1/25th scale replicas of American made compact Sport trucks with either standard or extended Cab manufactured between 1994 and 1999. They shall be, as much as possible, representations of those makes and models currently used in full scale Drag racing. Bodies must be Styrene (Kit based), Vacuum formed Styrene or Resin. Cab extension must measure at least 3/8" min. and ¾" max. Kit based and/or Resin bodies may be "wedged" but must retain at least ¼" of the front bumper, all Vacuum formed bodies must be run full bodied, No body modifications allowed. All trucks must have a full rear bumper or rolled pan, no artificial venting allowed other than for wheel bar clearance. All bodies shall include a cowl induction type hood measuring at least 1 ¼" in length and ¼" in height. All trucks must have a painted Tonneau cover. All trucks shall have a suitably painted interior and at least the front and rear widow glass installed. SPOILER: All trucks must have a Pro Stock type rear spoiler. Rear spoiler including side dams shall be no wider than the stock pickup bed of the body utilized, and shall extend a minimum of ½" and a maximum of 7/8" Side dams if utilized shall measure no more than 5/16" from top of spoiler. CHASSIS: Unlimited, Ball bearings allowed. Must run inline configuration only. TIRES: Front tires shall be scale-appearing and shall be no smaller in diameter than 0.750"(3/4"). Rear tires shall be no smaller than 1.0625 (1 1/16") by 0/500 (1/2") wide contact patch. MOTOR: The only motor permitted shall be a Super 16D, utilizing Super 16D can, magnets, hardware, and endbell. Any armature offered through normal distribution channels as a Super 16D replacement is permitted, including so-called "outlaw" arms, provided a) the wire gauge and number of turns is the same as a standard Super 16D, and b) the armature diameter is no less than 0.522" Motor brushes, springs, spring posts, and can/endbell attachment screws are unrestricted. Brush shunts are permitted. Motor bushings may be substituted, and may be soldered or epoxied/glued in place. Magnets may be epoxied/glued in place and original shims/clips may be removed. Magnets may be shimmed to adjust airgap, but shall not be honed or honed in place. No ball bearings. Any magnet(s) bearing any evidence of honing, polishing, or intentional surface alteration shall be deemed illegal, and the car containing said motor disqualified. WEIGHT: 125 grams NOSTALGIA PRO STOCK - HSN Rules GENERAL GUIDELINES: Intent of this class is to recreate the look and spirit of what is considered the "Golden Era" of Pro Stock. (1970 to 1980) Therefore, it is encouraged that participants try to replicate the actual cars that raced during that time or create a car that could very well have raced, had it been built back then. All cars must meet HSN General Regulations. DESIGNATION: PRO - preceded by car number BODY: 1967 to 1980 American production coupe, sedan or station wagons. Corvettes or sports cars not allowed. No concept or "show car" bodies. Styrene or resin cast only. Styrene bodies must be a kit based or promotional model only. Modifications to the body limited to those of the full size cars of the era. No material may be removed from the lower rocker panel for any reason. Wheel-wells may be enlarged for tire clearance only. Must have stock appearing front and rear bumpers for model used. Real bumper may be notched for wheelie bar strut clearance only. No full cut outs allowed. Body ventilation of any kind that is not manufacturer original prohibited. Body must have all street legal equipment. (i.e. full head and tail light lenses or acceptable replacements) May omit side view mirrors and windshield wipers. Wings or spoilers not allowed unless original factory available equipment for model used. Hood may be integrated into cowling. HEAD SCOOP: All cars must run a hood scoop that replicates the style representative of the era (square "snorkel, ramped "mail box," etc.) "Hemi style" scoops are allowed on 1967 to 1970 Chrysler product bodies only. Cowl induction, or any rear opening style scoop not allowed. All scoops must be a minimum of 1/8" tall and at its widest point. Must be mounted forward of the drivers compartment. WINDSHIELD/WINDOWS: Must have minimum a clear windshield and rear window installed. Side windows optional but encouraged. Window "glass" may be replaced with lexan. Flush mounting of windows not allowed unless originally equipped. CHASSIS: Unlimited. Ball bearings not allowed. BELLY PANS: Allowed. May not extend beyond outside of body at any point. FRONT WHEELS/TIRES: Required, ¾" minimum diameter measured from the outside diameter of the tire. REAR WHEELS/TIRES: Minimum diameter 1 3/16" (1.185") Minimum tire tread width fully contacting track surface, 1/2" (0.500") Slitting or grooving tread area of tire prohibited. WHEELIE BARS/WHEELS: Permitted. Total length cannot exceed 5" from the center- line of wheelie wheels. MOTOR: a) Super 16-D motor. Must meet HSN specs. No ball bearings allowed. b) Non-ball bearing C-Can set up with S-16 C armature. Quad magnets allowed. Magnets must conform to HSN specs. Shunt wires allowed. WEIGHT: For motor set-up a): 130 grams minimum weight For motor set-up b): 140 grams minimum weight. Nitro, Alcohol and Gas Coupes - Dirty Dog Racing Rules Body: Any year car or truck. Must be kit base or resin only. No styrene or lexan allowed. You may chop the top and may slam or channel the body. Wheel bubbles are not allowed in the front. Rear bubbles are allowed. May replace front and rear bumper with roll pans or air dams. Any style rear wing. No funny car bodies allowed. Bodies must be identifiable from its original origin. Induction System: Must run blower w/top hat or injector stacks. Absolutely no pro stock or cowl induction will be allowed to run. Chassis: Unlimited w/bearings Belly Pan: Not allowed Front Wheels: 3/4 " minimum diameter Rear Wheels: 1 3/16 diameter x .500 wide w/ 5/8 diameter rim Weight: 120 grams minimum Motor: Nitro Coupe, Factory Tag G-20 w/bearings; Alcohol Coupe, Factory Tag G-12 No bearings; Gas Coupe, Super 16-D No bearings SUPER MODIFIED - BPIR House Rules BODY: 1985 or newer American sedan body. Body may not be chopped, lowered or have wheel wells enlarged. Body must have Pro style hood scoop. Must have complete front and rear bumpers as delivered by factory on original full scale cars. REAR WING: Permitted but must conform to the following dimension from the most extreme (highest or most rearward molded Plastic) Plane of the deck lid maximum 1 1/2 " overhang. Wing can be bent in any direction after mounted in place. CHASSIS: Unlimited, ball bearing allowed. Wheelie bars are allowed, not to exceed 5" from the centerline of the rear axle to the centerline of the wheelie bars. Body may be "funny car based" if body length and wheelbase is shortened to reflect the factory stock dimensions of body model used (+ -1/2"), and rear window is cut out as per stock configuration. All bodies must have a rear window. Front wheel bubbles, or open holes in front or rear fenders for tire clearance are prohibited. No concept or "show car" bodies. Bodies must be identifiable from it's original origin. Body width cannot be less than 2" at any point. Induction System: Must have one of the following positioned forward of the drivers compartment:
Hood scoops: Must meet minimum dimensions: Height: 1/4", Width: 3/4", Length: 1-1/4". Full Blower: 1/4 of blower case must be above top of hood. Injector Stacks: Must be 1/4" protruding through hood. Measured from top of hood to top of stacks. Blower or injectors must be a separate unit, cannot be molded or cast into body. Weight: 150 grams minimum weight; 1969 model year or earlier body style. Absolutely no modifications to it's stock configuration as delivered form the full size manufacturer, other than the addition of a wing/spoiler, and hood scoop, blower, or injector. Lower side rocker panels behind front wheel wells may be notched for header clearance only. No flush mounting of windows. 160 grams minimum weight: 1970 model year or later body style, or any earlier model year body that exhibits any modification beyond those stated legal for 150 grams. Spoilers/Rear Wing: Permitted; Same specifications as Pro Outlaw. CHASSIS: Unlimited; ball bearings allowed. BELLY PAN: Permitted; must not extend more than 1/4* from body at any point. Belly pan edges extending beyond the body must be smooth with no sharp edges. FRONT WHEELS/TIRES: Required; 3/4" minimum diameter. Measured form the outside diameter of the tire. REAR WHEELS/TIRES: Minimum Diameter 0.970 in. WHEELIE BARS/WHEELS: Permitted; Total length cannot exceed 5" from centerline of rear axle to centerline of wheelie wheels. MOTOR: Factory tagged Group 12. non ball bearings. (SS/A & SS/D) SUPER STOCK - HSN Rules DESIGNATION: 1955 TO 1979; SS/A, SS/B, SS/C, SS/D, SS/E - preceded by car number. 1980 OR LATER; GT/A, GT/B, GT/C, GT/D, GT/E - preceded by car number. BODY: 1955 or later American stock production coupes, sedans, station wagons, pickups, or convertibles (must run "top up"). No sports cars allowed except Corvettes and early T-Birds. No concept or "show car" bodies. Styrene bodies must be a kit based or promotional model only. No modifications to it's stock configuration as delivered from the full size manufacturer. Absolutely no material may be removed from lower body rocker panel for any reason. Wheel wells may not be enlarged. Must have complete stock front and rear bumpers for model used. Rear bumpers may be notched for wheelie bar strut clearance only. No full cut outs allowed. Body ventilation of any kind that is not manufacturer original prohibited. Body must have all street legal equipment, (i.e. full head and tail light lenses or acceptable replacements). May omit side view mirrors and windshield wipers. No hood scoops, wings or spoilers allowed unless original factory available equipment for model used. Late model (GT) bodies may open up underside or front nose area for chassis clearance only. Body may be "funnycar based" if body length, and wheelbase is shortened to reflect the factory stock dimensions of body model used (+ - 1/2"), and rear window is cut out as per stock configuration. All bodies must have a rear window. Molded front, and rear wheel bubbles allowed. Open holes in front, or rear fenders for tire clearance prohibited. Slamming of body allowed as long as body is still identifiable from it's original origin. No concept or 'show car" bodies. Body width cannot be less than 2" at any point.
